Solved : Masalah Log Zimbra Pasca Upgrade Versi

Setiap kali melakukan upgrade versi Zimbra, khususnya upgrade minor Zimbra versi 7 (misalnya 7.1.3 ke 7.2.0), log transaksi email di Zimbra berubah. Semestinya isi log ada di /var/log/zimbra.log, ternyata malah berubah kembali ke /var/log/mail. Hal ini disebabkan adanya bug pada isi file /etc/syslog-ng/syslog-ng.conf.

Isi semestinya adalah seperti ini (diambil dari beberapa baris terakhir file /etc/syslog-nsg/syslog-ng.conf) :

filter zimbra_local0 { facility(local0); }; # zimbra

filter zimbra_auth { facility(auth); }; # zimbra

Setelah upgrade malah berubah jadi seperti ini :

Letak perubahannya ada pada bagian IP. Sebelum diupgrade, file /etc/syslog-nsg/syslog-ng.conf, destination untuk log diarahkan ke lokal sedangkan setelah diupgrade malah berubah jadi port UDP 514 ke IP Zimbra. Meski sekilas tidak ada masalah, hasil log tidak lagi mengarah ke /var/log/zimbra.log melainkan ke /var/log/mail.

Bagaimana cara mengatasinya? Ya cukup menggantinya ke kondisi semula. Jika ragu, lakukan backup folder /opt/zimbra dan file /etc/syslog-ng/syslog-ng.conf sebelum menjalankan proses upgrade sistem.

    Mas Vavai, Sorry I question, I used Zimbra 8.6.0 RHEL 6_64 on centos 6.9, Plan to Upgrade OS to Centos 7, btw whether to upgrade the zimbra version as well? and what should I do first?
